91´«Ã½ Bloomington names provost and executive vice chancellor
Dear Colleagues,
As you will read shortly in , it is my great pleasure to share the news that John Ciorciari has been appointed provost and executive vice chancellor of 91´«Ã½ Bloomington after a robust search process with a large and diverse committee of our community. I know that you will join me in congratulating him.
As provost, John is our chief academic officer, advancing excellence in the education and research mission of our campus across our schools, academic programs, and key strategic initiatives.
John has been an exceptional partner and leader over his tenure as interim provost and before that as dean of the Hamilton Lugar School. I look forward to working with him as we collaborate to elevate Indiana University’s flagship campus, a place we both hold dear. In the coming weeks, John will announce his plans for the deanship of Hamilton Lugar.
I am grateful to the members of our search committee, chaired by Richard DiMarchi and Kosali Simon, for their thoughtful and thorough work and for the coordination and collegiality among the members of the committee.
Today, please join me in congratulating our new provost of Indiana University Bloomington, John Ciorciari.
Sincerely,
David A. Reingold
Chancellor
