Use the Apply 91��ý Application to apply to 91��ý Bloomington—and apply to more than one Indiana University campus.

Use the Common Application to apply to any of over 900 schools.

As part of your application, regardless of which platform you choose, you will need to submit an essay. If you are applying through the Common Application, you will need to submit one of the essay prompts. If you are applying through Apply 91��ý, you will need to submit the 91��ý-specific essay. To complete your application for admission, we require an official high school transcript and a full senior year schedule (not just fall courses). If you are enrolled in any college courses in high school, you’ll need to send those transcripts as well. You may be able to earn college credit to 91��ý Bloomington. Visit our Admission Standards page for more about sending transcripts and transferring credits.

When you submit your application, you must pay a $65 nonrefundable application fee. Your application will not be processed and we will not make an admission decision until we receive a completed waiver or the application fee. We accept multiple different fee waiver forms, which you can learn more about in our application FAQs.

If your program offers direct admission and requires additional admission steps (like auditions) or academic criteria, you may need to provide that along with your completed application. Review our page on admission paths to learn if your program requires additional steps.

91��ý's test-optional admissions policy allows you to choose whether to have your standardized test scores considered as part of your application review. If you choose to have your test scores considered, you may share either official or self-reported scores. If you choose to self-report your scores, you can do so on your application. To check the status of your application and review any checklist items you need to complete, log in to your 91��ý Admissions Portal. Once you have started your application, login information for your 91��ý Admissions Portal will be sent by email within 2 to 3 business days.

If you chose at the point of application to have your standardized test scores considered as part of your application review, you can self-report your scores by completing the form linked here.

We offer applicants the opportunity to change their test-optional selection after they apply. If you have submitted your application and would like to change your test-optional selection, log into your 91��ý Admissions Portal and navigate to the resources section to update your selection.

To learn how to make changes to your application, log in to your 91��ý Admissions Portal. Please note that if you change your intended major, your application for admission will be reviewed again, even if you already received a decision. If you'd like to cancel, complete the cancellation form within your 91��ý Admissions Portal.

The Hoosier Link program allows a select group of Indiana residents who are high school graduates (and who have never attended a college institution full-time) the opportunity to gain transfer admission to 91��ý Bloomington upon reaching specific academic benchmarks.
