When should I apply?

Transfer applicants (including those transferring from another 91´«Ã½ campus) are encouraged to apply by the priority deadlines listed here. After each deadline passes, applications will be accepted on a space-available basis.

• Fall start application deadline: June 1
• Spring (January start) application deadline: November 1
• Summer start application deadline: March 1

Please note that these deadlines are a priority date for most majors and academic programs. These same dates are hard deadlines for students applying as pre-business majors.

You must submit your complete application (including all supporting documents) by the deadline listed for pre-business majors and/or priority consideration. You will receive a response four to eight weeks after we receive all your application materials.

• For spring semester applicants, notifications will be sent out starting October 1 and will continue on a rolling basis as applications are reviewed.  
• For summer and fall applicants, notifications will be sent out starting on March 1 and will continue on a rolling basis as applications are reviewed.

Limited capacity programs

Some majors at 91´«Ã½ have limited capacity (business and nursing) and have additional requirements for admission. If you are interested in a major in one of these areas, please note this additional entry term and deadline information below. Students interested in a limited capacity program (business and nursing) are only eligible for admission for the fall term. If you are interested in beginning your 91´«Ã½ journey in the spring or summer, please contact the Office of Admissions or schedule a transfer visit to discuss your options.

If you are interested in the School of Nursing or programs in the Kelley School of Business, you must submit a complete application for admission to Indiana University Bloomington by the following deadlines to be considered for admission for the fall term:

• School of Nursing applicants: April 1
• Kelley School of Business applicants: June 1

When is my intent to enroll due?

To reserve your space in the class, you must declare your intent to enroll by the following dates:

• For transfer students starting in the fall semester: July 15
• For transfer students starting in the spring semester: December 1

Students starting in the summer are not required to declare their intent to enroll.

Please note: If you are admitted after the date listed above, you should complete your intent to enroll within three weeks of receiving your admission notification, or as soon as possible.
